Those unnecessary new iPhone accessories

Thanks to EV Grieve reader Steve for this photo taken earlier in the morning at 10th Street and Broadway...

So it looks like we have:
• A pair of shoes
• A pair of pants
• A pint of whiskey
• A handful of toilet paper
• An empty iPhone case

I'm curious what happened next...

  1. Hmmm...there's pants involved, so I don't think it's Lady Gaga...Kei$ha?

  2. ooh, I wanna know what happened!

Those are some seriously cheap-ass shoes. Same for the pants. So the iPhone seems incongruous ... the toilet paper is neutral.

I believe our answer lies in the booze. Can anyone ID the whiskey? Is it the good stuff? Do they even sell "good stuff" in half-pints?

  3. What happened next was Ke$ha staggered off into traffic!

  4. You saw the hipster traps last summer - well this looks to me like a yuppie trap! Loafers, an iPhone and whiskey....

  5. I'm guessing someone just bought the phone at the Apple store on West 14th Street. In a celebratory mood, they bought a bottle of spirits on the way home .... Here, on this stoop, they stopped to make a call ... At the same time nature came calling. They thought they could doodoo real quick. But someone came out of the building and shooed them away.

    Or not.

  6. Oh I hope this isn't staged -- it's just too perfect.

And I'll take that whiskey if nobody is having it.
