At the Gulf Station on Second Avenue at First Street...
Before! A beat-up machine that only took quarters...
Now!
The fancy digital one that costs $1.50...

P.S.
Have you tried the bagels at Gulf? They don't look or taste as good as advertised...
a bit rubbery?
ReplyDeleteFucking yuppie artisanal air.
ReplyDelete@Spike
ReplyDeletePlus the salt they use on them in the winter is so rocky!
@Tim
ReplyDeleteIt's the additional argon that makes it artisanal.
Grieve, is it locally sourced, organic, fair trade argon? Because I don't buy noble gasses any other way.
ReplyDeleteAlso, can you heat the air with a hot poker?
@anon
ReplyDeleteGood question. I just called the Gulf station. The guy who answered the phone said that they follow Judeo-Christian scriptures in practicing good stewardship of the Earth.
So he said that the air is cruelty free and locally sourced from the Earth's troposphere — that includes the trace gases.
As for the hot poker. Well, given the proximity to the gas pumps, Gulf executives won't allow the use of hot pokers. So they designed and installed a special subfloor that can be filled with water heated by solar collectors or a backup fossil fuel system for use on cloudy days. This addition is the reason for the 50 cent increase.
Haha, that last photo is priceless.
