Nearly eight months have passed since we last looked in on the ongoing brown-paint war at the Verizon building along 13th Street (at Second Avenue)... we thought that Verizon had simply given up.
Not so!
EV Grieve reader evilnyc just passed along these shots. A new tactic — powerwashing and painting via the city's Graffiti Free NYC...

I like this program. However, I don't think the city should pay to clean a building owned by a company that makes billions in profit every quarter.

ReplyDeleteput up some cameras so you can stop or record the vandalizers and yes buy the paint yourselves and have the super paint it over the next morning.

Graffiti is an art form that is part of the urban landscape and will NEVER go away. So accept it for what it is and quit complaining.
