11-17 Second Avenue is starting to rise from the bowels of the Mars Bar
Early last evening. Before you know it, a 12-story apartment building will be here. And then?
Bonus photos from yesterday of the bendy thing...

the "bendy thing" is a concrete pump :)
ReplyDeleteAh! Thanks! I still think "bendy thing" will catch on...
ReplyDeleteI hope the new building is as beautiful as the breathtaking Avalon or the dense enigma in which Whole Foods resides in. If history tells us anything this new building will also sit half empty for years while renters try to wrap their heads around this uber progressive corporate park chic.
ReplyDeleteThis makes me realize I have nowhere to go this Easter!
ReplyDelete@Marty This makes ME realize we should keep a running log of the architectural firms responsible for these fuck ugly buildings!
ReplyDelete@LIBERATION: Agreed!

ReplyDeleteLiberation: Right ON!!
ReplyDeleteTo add insult to injury, real estate vulture prick Donald Cappoccia got this project green-lighted with a special variance from the city AND taxpayer money. This shit face doesn't operate on a level playing field and WE get to subsidize him!!
PS: I will laugh and laugh when the residents of the two demolished buildings who made their deal with the devil to enable this project get screwed over by Capoccia when he builds his latest non-descript architectural monstrosity....
