ReplyDeleteMost of the bodegas are open. All the banks are closed. All the coffee shops from 10th st north look open. Table 12 is also open. Duane Reade on 3rd and 10th is open.
ReplyDeleteThompkins square bagels is open. The guy at the register was explaining that this storm is no big deal. In 85 during Gloria, he lived near the Belt Parkway and waves were crashing over it yet schools were all open.
Only damage I saw so far is a tree in front of Westville that split in half.
Hit my fav coffee, 9th Street, they're open. (10th street location)

ReplyDeleteDuane Reade on Union Square is open, Liquor Store on Park Ave and 18th was open an hour ago, "Clean Deli" (don't know it's real name) at B'Way and 10th is open. Bean on B'way and 12th is open and packed. Petco on north side of Union Square was open an hour ago.

ReplyDeleteI believe in some cases the owners work tonight. The bouncer at 13th Step told me that they would put the staff up at hotel if necessary.
