Bodega Walk this Saturday

[Photo from East Village Deli at 217 Avenue A last week by Crazy Eddie]

From the EV Grieve inbox... from the folks working with the 'No 7-Eleven' Committee...

Bodega Walk
Saturday February 2nd @ Noon
11th Street and Avenue A

We will start at the site with brief remarks and a poem then visit 4-5 bodegas to speak with the owners and their employees. The walk will be about an hour and will conclude at Tompkins Square Bagels.

More info on all this later in the week...

  1. I unfortunately and a renter at 500 East 11th Street (directly above the construction) and we had no hot water of heat on Wednesday and Thursday or last week. Without any signage or warning, they turn it off just for this 7/11 to be built. Multiple calls have been made to the superintendant as well as the PVE Associates, but we have fallen on deaf ears. Furthermore as people ponder "should I resign my lease at this building," no one and I mean no one has any clue of when the construction will end. Is there even an end date?

  4. Hi,

I am a film student at Fordham. Can I film the Bodega Walk? I would love to film the whole walk and hear the owners talk and such. I am an Urban Studied Master's Student.
