  1. Am I missing something abstract here?

  2. Regarding the headline? It was an attempt at humor. I changed it anyway.

  3. Hey EVG - Remember back when someone did some graffiti and you liked it and I railed against it? Well, for some reason I love this example. It's the best art I've seen in a long time.

  4. Love it.

    Resident: "Take that, ShitiBank!"

Yeah, it is not going to end well for the bike share program.

  5. @ BT

  7. Hey, Grieve, can you let us know what the original headline was, for historical purposes at least. Somebody someday might be doing important research into attempts at humor, and it would be unfair to deprive him/her of research material. And, no, I don't know what "important" is supposed to mean in this context.

  9. the funny thing is i already see people using the neighborhood maps for navigation. not sure why they're needed in the age of smartphones, but the maps are probably the best thing about citibike.

  10. I remember! Because I wrote the first comment, something like "Local teen takes 3rd Place in National Science Fair." I didn't get it.

And why do people take their vengeance of the bike share on the map side? What if I wanna look at the map?

  11. Yes!

it was "Local teen takes 3rd Place in National Science Fair."

I was being silly/stupid... for people who thought I was posting too much on Citi Bikes... But wait until tomorrow!

  12. Grieve, the blog is SO much more enjoyable on the weekends when the CitiTrolls are offline and hard at work vomiting in the East Village!

  13. That's what I thought at first, but I thought "nah that's too easy, there's some other inside joke I'm missing."

What's happening tomorrow, the ol' Mother's Day Citibike blitz?

  14. Walking around the area I am astonished at how many of these there are and how many parking spaces they used up - traffic is going to get much worse from people riding around in circles - only citicorp & Bloomberg/Quinn could so stealthily privatize such a large area of public space. And it is privatized - you can't pay cash - you must have permission from US Treasury.

  15. I took money from Citibank to spam local blogs to spout the virtues of their (to be) highly profitable bike share program. It is very lucrative.
