Yes! This is the New York I love (and miss more and more). No sterile, boxy, glass luxury apartment buildings please. More earthy hands-on goodness!
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately "the City" will probably tear this up within a week.

ReplyDeleteI agree, if the dog piss or drunks don't KO it first.

ReplyDeleteFrom Merriam-Webster!
cook·top
ˈko͝okˌtäp/
noun
1.
a cooking unit, usually with hot plates or burners, built into or fixed on the top of a cabinet or other surface.
I didn't know what cook tops where either...Maybe it is a regional thing, but if I understand correctly, they are called hotplates where I come from... But still, from these photos, I can't make out hotplates, or cooktops, or anything other than an artfully arranged urban tableau made up of bouquets of lovely flowers and plants amidst some cleverly arranged cut-up asphalt... So sweet indeed...

Oh no! Those poor plants. Too bad that nice man didn't have a plant guard of some fashion to put around the perimeter.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I never would have thought of this. Props!:)
ReplyDeletelooks like they built onto it, they ruined the basic look of it in the updated photo but it may not be finished...maybe a work in progress?
