Hey, time again for Doc Holliday's annual Prom Night tonight at Ninth Street and Avenue A. As you can see, there are prizes for the Dance Queen Dance Contest and the Best Dressed Dude.

High school proms was yet one more reason for me to leave my hometown and move to the EV 33 years ago. What a weird fucked up "tradition".

ReplyDeleteHipsters and their half-cocked attempts at having fun. Nightlife in NYC 2014 is such a sham. No singing, no dancing, no gaming or other forms of actual merrymaking--for the most part. Just a lot of oppressive, conceptual bullshit like this, marginally funny, only on paper and for a brief moment. What a dreadful night this must be, trying to act out some half-witted comedy concept while trying to convince yourself you are living it up somehow.
