A reader asked if we had any information about the new neon signage that arrived on the Bowery and East First Street above the Hamptons-based Blue & Cream boutique … one for the First and the Bowery side to light up the night sky…

Perhaps some branding by Avalon Bowery Place to create excitement or something for Extra Place around the bend?
Anyone know what this is all about?

NowI will never forget where I am, when I'm on that corner.
Is that Bowery as in Bowery Street?
this corner sucks but that blue neon's gonna look nice in the rain....;)
those are some retina-burners right there
I live in the swankest part of town...hahaha
Who would have thunk it, ol' Uncle Waltie surrounded by luxury. Oh crap, now I have to get a new wardrobe. I don't think Louie the 14th Street is gonna cut it down here anymore.
cool idea, poor execution.
would have worked if they chose a better typography. the one they chose looks as tacky as the building.
I always preferred Bowery Lane, but when the City dropped the "Lane" they decided not to replace it with anything. I think that was because there was already a Bowery Street running east-west below Canal St. So many Farms back then, so few Streets.
Absolutely hideous...but no surprise.
