Turk (answers to Turkey as well) was last spotted this morning on Avenue B and East 13th Street. Here's an ad with another photo on Craigslist.

Turk has been found! He made it all the way to Soho! He is back with his family...
I hope they find this dog. I had my dog's nails cut at this groomer on Sunday and made a point of telling them to hand her back to me.
ReplyDeleteThe last place I went to on 9th Street would release my dog into their shop where, the front door was either wide open or there were larger, aggressive dogs in the shop. Be careful with people's pets! They're our family.
AWOL doggies are no joking matter... but I bet young Turk had the time o' his life out there. Bad dog!
ReplyDeleteTurk's wild adventure. Wish he was wearing a webcam! Glad he's safe, he looks like spunky little guy.
ReplyDeleteAll the way to Soho? That dog covered some ground! Glad he's home safe now.
ReplyDeleteTurk was probably just looking for a place to return his CitiBike and had to go all the way to SoHo to find a functioning docking station. Welcome back, Turk!
ReplyDeleteThank god he is home! I hope all dog owners reading this have tags on their dogs w/ phone numbers on it in case it gets lost!
ReplyDeleteGet your puppies microchipped!
ReplyDeleteHe really stood out in SoHo; they just had to look for the only one walking down Wooster not staring into his cellphone.
ReplyDeleteThere is NOTHING amusing about a pet groomer's losing or harming your pet. They need to be sued and publicly shamed and you owners? You need to closely inspect these places and if you see any little thing you don't like? Don't use the place. I've read about dogs and cats being cooked to death in dryer containers and all sorts of other horrors. There is NO excuse for it. Frankly, I think the owner should accompany the dog or cat being groomed. I don't even trust a lot of vets, nevermind dog groomers.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Annie Birdseed. More than that, the owners need to learn how to groom their own pets at home. It can be done. No excuses.
ReplyDeleteWas he lost from that place on Avenue B? Please be careful leaving your pets unsupervised at any of these places. I am stunned at the lack of precautions taken at these NYC grooming salons.
