ReplyDeletei stayed, with my ancient dogs who pissed near it for 12 years. it was hard to watch, and even more difficult to hear as they chipped it up into mulch confetti.
ReplyDeleteand then as I walked home, the parks department was clearing out the new dead trees on my block. Tear.
This was a pretty unique tree but it would have been a shame if it fell on someone. Hopefully clearing out the occasional older tree in the park will make room for more young ones to grow old.
