An EVG reader noted the arrival of a for rent sign in the window at the Fantastic Tea Shop at 128 E. Fourth St. between First Avenue and Second Avenue…
There is also a smaller sign in the window, noting that the business is for sale. (Call Anita: 917-291-4811.) So maybe you could buy the business and renegotiate the lease with the landlord (no mention of rent in the listing) … or move it elsewhere.
The cafe opened here back in January.

If it was so fantastic, it wouldn't be for sale.
I've actually enjoyed their food and teas. It's a very pleasant owner, quiet atmosphere and good quality food at a very reasonable price. It's just on a low trafficked block with nothing around it that attracts spill-over customers. I only think of it when I am at the laundromat down the street, although I like the place very much. Must be very hard to sustain a business without foot traffic.
