A question on the extra lights and police presence along Avenue D

Any word on the reason for the heavy police presence along Avenue D & FDR Drive as well as the assemblage of generator lighting throughout Jacob Riis Houses?
I asked one of the police officers that are always out on 8th and D - they said it is set up as a deterrent, and that they do not know of any specific incident.
It's shining into my apartment and I really hope it will be shut off soon.

I was out running this morning and the solar panels on one of them was facing North not South. Good job boys....

ReplyDeleteIt's not just Jacob Riis.. These lights are out up in different projects.. Saw them in Harlem and a friend saw them in two other projects
