Beware of the budding sinkhole that nearly swallowed an M8 on St. Mark's Place


This happened at Avenue A.

The bus is gone now, @edenbrower reports... but the potential for sinking remains...

  1. Other day I spied with my lil eye a tiny but unmistakable hole in the asphalt of 1st ave and it occurred to me that we are basically living on top of a pie crust.

  3. Nice street construction and maintenance by the socialist entity at Havana-on-the-Hudson. Fidel would be proud of how well communism works in New York. Why not make every shop a government entity starting with food stores?
