    Nice pics! I just picked up a few pounds of Northern Spys for a nice apple pie. Apparently I didn't eat enough yet this weekend.

    That last photo, with the leaves blowing off the tree - a keeper!

    Yes, I took a closer look (that's what I get paid for) and those are pigeons. But they look like leaves, blowing off that tree. THAT is why it is a keeper.

    Tompkins Square and the market show how a park can co-exist with commerce...unlike the mess at Astor Plaza which is all about commerce and not the community.
