Several readers passed along word of a fire last evening on the fifth floor at 619 E. Sixth St. between Avenue A and First Avenue.
The FDNY tweeted the alert at 8:31 p.m. ...

I do not have any other information, such as injuries, cause or extent of the damage.
Here's a look at the building this morning... one window is boarded up on the fifth floor...
