Is it Nov. 28 yet? Turkey time again at the Odessa with the $18.95 Thanksgiving Special

Thanksgiving Season is officially upon us as the Odessa management hung the familiar Thanksgiving Special signage yesterday morning here at 119 Avenue A between Seventh Street and St. Mark's Place...

As you can see, they are sticking to the formula — glass of wine, cup of cream of turkey soup, etc. — that has served them well all these years. And pricing for the Complete Dinner remains unchanged since 2014, when management bumped the meal from $15.95 to $18.95.

It is quite a good deal, and one that I have enjoyed on past Thanksgivings. God Bless us everyone. (Wrong holiday?)

  2. Wow, had no idea about this Thanksgiving deal! Can't believe a Thanksgiving meal could be so cheap, thanks for this info. I just wanted to share a saving tip for any fellow NY'ers who are looking to save on transportation. I was complaining about how much money I’ve been spending on Uber’s and a friend recommended saferides.org; it’s a non-profit and much more affordable than ride-shares. You can book rides in advance and it’s great for large groups. Just in case anyone else is tired of draining their funds with ride-sharing apps!

  3. Really disappointed to see the price jump to $25 for the full meal. There was a $20 option for just the plate, but WOW, HUGE jump in price from previous years.
