Pre-pandemic this strip of retail was a cursed part of 4th Avenue. It will only get worse.
ReplyDeleteGlaze always had slow traffic pre-pandemic. I’m surprised that they didn’t close sooner.
ReplyDeleteWhat is surprising to me is Dig! Didn’t they just open that location recently? Even the Prince St location has closed (not sure if permanently closed tho...). These locations were doing quite well pre-pandemic.
Glaze had somewhat slow service. And they used to have a lot of high-touch items (like serving yourself extra condiments). Their teriyaki sauce was sooooo sugary that I felt it kind of wrecked the taste of the meal, but maybe that's just me.
ReplyDeleteIn any case, I'm not totally surprised that they've closed that location.
Glaze was actually pretty good / healthy as long as you got the sauce on the side. Bummer
