The quick-serve Latin-American restaurant offers inexpensive comfort foods like roasted pork and rotisserie chicken with sides of rice, beans and plantains. You can find their menu here.
Tio Pio, which also has a location in downtown Brooklyn, took over the space from Mi Casa Latina, which closed in the fall of 2019 after 10 months in business.
Thanks to Steven for the photo yesterday!
Very nice people and good Latin food.
ReplyDeleteThat menu looks amazing, can't wait to give it a shot. Pernil, mmmmm...
ReplyDeleteCheaper at Geena's. Support our neighbors.
DeleteVery excited about this!
ReplyDeleteBut this place IS my neighbor.
ReplyDelete@Anon. 10:35 AM - Nothing says I can't spend my money here AND at Gena's (correct spelling). This is not a chain, not a corporate entity, and they are in the same situation that the owners of Gena's were once in - a brand new business hoping for clients to keep them afloat. I will eat pernil with rice and beans wherever I can find, and there are not too many places left in the EV to get it (Gena's, Adele's, and now here are the only ones I know). My bucks, my choice.
ReplyDeleteAgree with you- add Rossy's and El Rinconcito to your EV list aswell.
Delete@gojira also check out Rossy’s on 3 st between b and c. Nice people and good pernil!
ReplyDelete@Jessie - Thank you! Had not known of this place, appreciate the referral!
ReplyDelete@Anon.4:04 - El Rinconcito, yes, they had slipped my mind!
