Trash talk

Trash pickup in Tompkins Square Park has been a popular topic in recent days...

So on this topic. Several readers have pointed out that someone used insulating spray foam to seal shut an easy-open trash bin in the middle of the Park. (Eden first pointed this out about two weeks ago.)

The foam-goop-whatever has been cleared off enough to open the bin... though some Parkgoers choose not to...

  2. WTF is the matter with people? Seriously, get a life and please respect public property and the residents of this community who use this bin on a daily basis in curbing the litter crisis of Tompkins Park. I walked past this a few times and was astonished how unsightly it was. You have to wonder what goes on through someone's warped mind which grants them permission to do such a thing. It seems they are lacking a moral compass. Wish there was CCTV in the park.
