Reminders: Tompkins Square Park Cleanup Day tomorrow (Sunday)

As mentioned yesterday, Assemblymember Harvey Epstein has organized a volunteer cleanup day in Tompkins Square Park for tomorrow.

  • When: Sunday, Aug. 21 at 10 a.m. 
  • Where: Tompkins Square Park (Enter on Seventh Street and Avenue A) 
Epstein's office said they would supply everything needed for the cleanup.

  1. Really wish the parks dept would come up w/ a long term solution for keeping park clean. Our taxes are for these services. All other parks are cleaned.
    I applaud Harvey helping but I am sure he has many other pressing things to do.

  2. Yeah, we need trained professionals to pick up the discarded needles. Health and safety hazards. But wait didn’t our Councilmember promise to clean up Tompkins Square Park last year when she ran for City Council?

  3. Our Councilmember promised a lotta things when she was running for City Council. And then the minute she was elected she promptly reneged on all of them. NY politics at its finest.
