Workers today hoisted signage for Paradise Gourmet Deli on the NE corner of 11th Street and Avenue B.
Early thoughts are this is a corner market-type establishment selling the usual corner market-type items (Sodas! Sandwiches! Tate's Bake Shop Cookies!)... as opposed to a smoke shop.
This will end the run of restaurants to lease the space through the years ... most recently Khiladi NYC (2019-2023). Previous restaurants at this address have included Old Monk, Babu Ji, Spina, Uovo and Panificio.
Ummm we’ve all been fooled by signage before, this might end up being a dispensary. Which there is no need for another.
ReplyDeleteUovo was the memorable one!
ReplyDeleteSmokeshop type signage right there
ReplyDeleteI miss the old school pizza place that used to be in that space!!
ReplyDeleteI said the same thing. I was in that pizza shop daily inda 90s. I guess they don’t want that type of neighborhood again. 😂 WE RAN DAT BLOCK HEAVY.
DeleteCan we just get a got-damn cobbler around here?
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm not talking about peaches.
Yeah, there’s one at 7 & C
Delete2 smoke shops opened on 11th st between a& b - it never ends.
