Early last November, ownership (daughter-father Logan Mikhly and Coppy Holzman) posted notices that they would close at the end of that month. This development happened even after a successful crowdfunding campaign and a newly enacted subscription plan earlier last year.
Mikhly and Holzman left the door open for new ownership upon closing. This EVG post explains more about what transpired here.
Boris & Horton opened in February 2018... and expanded its footprint on the corner later in 2018.
Enough with these guys! Back and forth, back and forth. Jesus. Just shut it down.
ReplyDeleteExcellent puns, Grieve, excellent puns.
ReplyDeleteI (and my dogs) really hope it goes well for them. Interested to see what changes they can make so that the business is profitable.
ReplyDeleteGood luck!
Isn't this really about dogs, not people?
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I always wanted to go in there, but it was always so crowded, and people hung out way too long so you could never get a seat. Buying a coffee and pastry shouldn't entitle you to sit there and doomscroll for hours on end. They really need to address that so that more people can participate, not just the first to arrive. Good luck. I hope it all works out.
ReplyDeletein a couple of months the new owner will be talking about how they thought a time limit of table usage and a entrance fee would be a good idea but they didn't realize people do not want to pay for that
ReplyDeleteI was hoping for 2 to 3 mew businesses opening at this huge location. Sorry but I over entitled dog owners, and how some have taken over the children's playground on 12th Street.
ReplyDeleteAny chance this buyer is the same buyer who backed out on school for the dogs?
