Updating: Report of a fatal shooting at Tom & Jerry's on Elizabeth Street

A 39-year-old man was reportedly shot and killed early this morning on Elizabeth Street near Houston.

According to amNY, the shooting took place at 288 Elizabeth St. at about 3:22 a.m. The building also houses Tom & Jerry's on the ground floor.

According to the Post, "witnesses told cops there was no interaction between the two men before the shooting, which cops believe was random."

 The gunman was last seen on Houston. No arrests have been made, police said.

That is Little Italy not NOHO??? Little Italy historic district is Canal to Bleeker st and Bowery to Lafayette st

I feel you John. It was little Italy & the Lower East Side until real estate agents & bar keeps tried to fancy up their spiels with NOHO & The East Village to entice uptowners etc. to come on down and pay $8 for a coffee, $25 for a drink, and $8500/mo. for a studio carved out of a hallway. Google Maps has now labeled the blocks around 2nd Ave & St. Marks as Ukrainian Village!
