What are some of the other ones?
Wish I'd heard about it before the $100 discount expired. As I live 1 block away from Swiss Inst., I'm gonna give it a try.
There was one out of St Mark's church (Norwich Farms). I did it for one season & dropped it due to weird produce (I hate purple carrots, garlic cloves molding), tiny portion allotments and a general feeling that the farmer's markets (Norwich is at both Tompkins Sq. & Union Sq.) and locavore restaurants got the good stuff first.
Google CSAs in Manhattan for others.
Unfortunately, only learned about this after that deadline passed...
I went for it anyway. YOLO ;-)
6th Street Community Center on 6th between B & C is one. They have a sliding scale and pickup is Tuesdays late afternoon to evening.
LUNGS also has one, last year it was a Friday pickup and at De Colores on 8th between B & C.
I think one of the farms that comes to Tompkins Square Green market on Sundays also does one. Maybe Norwich Farms?
