'Tis the season... for tree tossing. 

As seen today on Third Street between Avenue A and Avenue B, a two-fer. (Thanks, Joseph Borduin, for the photo.) 

And EV Arrow assisted with pointing out the second tree...

These are likely not leftovers from last year ... and were discarded by someone who wanted a tree this Christmas but was leaving town before the big day.

The rainy Memorial Day must have prompted some spring cleaning... above, someone hastily tried to hide the evidence of a Christmas tree, stripping its branches and stuffing the remains into a box on 13th Street between First Avenue and Second Avenue. (Thanks for the pic, Liberation!) 

Meanwhile, someone attempted to dock this discarded (and surprisingly fresh) tree on the NE corner of Sixth Street and Second Avenue (thanks to the reader for this tip!)...

A reader shared this photo today from Avenue A and 13th Street ... unsure if the remains leaning against the light pole can be counted as a discarded Christmas tree on this March 4.

Per Jackflashnyc: "Seems to have a good string of lights, stand and one glass ornament, though needles are getting a bit dry."

EVG reader roflo shared this photo today from Fourth Street between Avenue C and Avenue D... where there was a stash of Christmas trees discarded on the sidewalk. 

Per Roflo: "Maybe 10 in all, some still with stands. No idea what kind of Christmas time capsule this was… but it smells fantastic, like Christmas in June."
