About a Pee-wee Herman pop-up on the Bowery

Pop-ups haven't exactly enjoyed the best reputation around here lately, but here's one that may be worth an exception.

The Pee-wee New York Pop-up Shop is setting up at 213 Bowery at Rivington Street for five days, starting Wednesday.

The shop will be open Wednesday from 4-8 p.m.; Thursday through Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Sunday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

Paul Reubens, the actor and comedian who created the iconic Pee-wee Herman character, died of cancer in July 2023. He was 70.
