Bobby Williams sent me this photo on Wednesday... it's the liquor store cat on 10th Street and Avenue C...
I never noticed the cat before... in part because it's not my usual liquor store ... Or maybe I have seen the cat but not his or her eyes...
Anyone know the cat? His or her name?
Anyway, from here on out, all cats, all the time.
fantastic cat! love those eyes. of course, if Bloomberg City has its way there will be no more liquor store, bar, or bodega cats left.
ReplyDeleteI'm allergic, but that's one Kool Kat.
ReplyDelete@ Jeremiah.
ReplyDeleteOh! You had to ruin it by bringing up HIS name.
And is Tiger still around at the East Village Convenience on Second Avenue? I haven't been there in a long time.
ReplyDeleteI would call him Mr. Cute
ReplyDeleteI agree with Jeremiah..if up to Bloomie..no one would be around in NYC..only him riding down the road in a horse and buggy.
ReplyDeleteNice cat. My favorite cat was always the guy who lived in SOS, the specialty food shop that just closed up a few months ago on Ave B. Great cat. Super friendly. Hope he's doing well.
ReplyDeleteSaw tiger about a week ago! He sends his regards.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty! Top contender for favorite store cat period
ReplyDeleteI vote for Mr. Cute! Beautiful kitty.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite store cat is the little tortoiseshell at Zaragoza. She (I think she's a she) likes to hang out on the steps to the basement and in her little hidey-hole next to the door. I call her KitKat.
/approve of all cats all the time
:)
ReplyDeleteHis name is Ramon and he owes me two hundred bucks. tell him i'm looking for him.
ReplyDeletecats! not rats! cats! not rats! go cats!
ReplyDeleteCats are the ticket to internet success! Everyone knows that.
ReplyDelete(I'm only being halfway sarcastic 'cause it's kinda true really)
Manini is the cats name. you can leave money for her well being and grooming in the store
ReplyDelete7-11's haz no cats
ReplyDeleteCoolest cat in the world!
ReplyDeleteShe is probably deaf in one ear. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deaf_white_cat
ReplyDeleteWhat a beauty!
ReplyDeleteBowie Cat!
ReplyDeletetrue about 7-11s. no cats.
ReplyDeleteTiger? or is that cat named Scout? the one next to San Loco?
@ Jeremiah
ReplyDeleteYes! Next to San Loco... I'm pretty sure that it's Tiger.
i thought you said it was Scout somewhere on the blog, but maybe i am misremembering it.
ReplyDeleteLvV, all calico cats are female so yes, the tortoiseshell you know is one. :)
ReplyDeleteI like the names Mr. Cute and Bowie as well. Will have to stop by to give the shop keepers some nice canned cat food for little Manino.
Hoo boy. Why do I think "claws and teeth" when I see that cat?
ReplyDeleteHis name is Manini (not spelled correctly)...
ReplyDeleteHe is the best cat and one reason I frequent that deli...Freddie is another reason, a great guy and wonderful owner!
Wait, so which business is this? I need to go meet this lil guy!
ReplyDeleteI love this little kitty, but I never knew his name. He's always hanging around Freddie's place and the liquor store on the corner. I'll second that Freddie is a great guy. He always has a good smile and strong handshake for me whenever I go in there.
ReplyDeletemore
ReplyDeleteHis name is Panini - i gave him a big hug last night !!
