A quick check in on the ongoing demolition at the former Mary Help of Christians property on Avenue A at East 11th Street and East 12th Street... the school appears to be down to its last floor...

Meanwhile, this past weekend, former parishioners returned to say prayers in front of what remains of the church on East 12th Street...

Meanwhile, the church is paying $175M for St. Patrick's Cathedral's renovation.
I guess the Vatican sees some churches as worthy, others NOT.

I feel sorry for the East Side Community High School students next door. They were displaced last year due to renovations. They’ll be dealing with a whole lot more noise and dust when they start building. I’m all for the separation of church and state, but this is over doing it.
