... and speaking of the Ainsworth closing... a few readers asked (once again): Who's responsible for removing the curbside dining structure when a restaurant shuts down? The one outside the former Ainsworth on 11th Street at Third Avenue is one of the largest in the neighborhood...

    I'm not one of the rabid anti-street-seating types, but restaurants really must be required to post a bond to cover the costs of dismantling the structure in case they close abruptly.

    the fact that the city hasn't made all of the restaurant structures come down by now is insane.
