There's so much on the CB3 SLA & DCA Licensing Committee agenda, it won't fit in one screen shot

Bring your sleeping bags on Sept. 14 -- nearly 50 items are on the agenda...



So much to note! Caffe Buon Gusto on Avenue B and Fifth Street is finally on the agenda. 2 U Karoke Lounge Suites at the former Mondo Kim's on St. Mark's is on the docket. We'll have more on all this later...

On the liquor license agenda in July: Iggy's and others...

Here's what's on tap for the next Community Board 3's SLA & DCA Licensing Committee meeting on July 20:



Butter Lane is back on docket. (It was scratched from last month's agenda.)Iggy's, which is taking over the Five Rose's space, is applying for a license. A few interesting transfers (maybe!) at 40C and Cafe DeVille...

CB3's SLA Licensing Committee meets tonight; new Mexican restaurant slated for Fourth Avenue

The Community Board 3's SLA Licensing Committee meets tonight...



Among the new restaurants looking for a license... This coming-soon Mexican joint on Fourth Avenue near 13th Street....at this spot of a former Tasti D-Lite.

LES liquor license update

Thanks to Rob at Save the Lower East Side! for his continued coverage of the CB3. He has the results from last night's Liquor Licensing committee at his site. A mini overview:

There was community opposition to 8 applications.
The committee unconditionally denied 4 of these.
Under pressure from the committee, another 2 withdrew,
and the committee approved 2 (both transfers of existing licenses to new owners).
The 2 that were approved had only one resident speaking in opposition.


Meanwhile, Eater has the story of Perbacco's desire to move from its current East Fourth Street spot to bigger digs around the cover on Avenue B. And we can thank Frank Bruni for this!
