Tree branch down on 10th Street

Last night's storm brought down a tree limb on 10th Street between Avenue A and First Avenue. (Thanks to Louise Segev for the photos).

No word of any injuries... and it doesn't appear that any of the parked vehicles sustained damage...
More crap weather is expected on Friday when the remnants of Hurricane/Tropical Storm Debby arrive.

Large branch down in Tompkins Square Park

Unfortunately, last night's crazy-ass storm brought down a big Elm branch over the chess tables inside the 7th and A entrance to Tompkins Square Park.

Goggla, who shared these photos, reports this SW corner of the Park is roped off.
There's no word of any injuries.

The chess tables have been barricaded off and under NYPD watch since the deadly double shooting here last Friday.

A tree branch falls in the small dog run in Tompkins Square Park

We have many reader reports about a downed tree limb in the small dog run in Tompkins Square Park.

Derek Berg took the top photo around 7:30 a.m.

Fortunately, despite the danger, there were no reports of injuries. (We don't know the exact time the limb came down.)

Here's another angle via Goggla...

Fall at the Tompkins Square Park mini pool

Outdoor city pools, including the mini pool in Tompkins Square Park, closed for the season back on Sept. 12. (Top photo from June by Steven.)

EVG reader MP shared this photo... as you can see, a large branch recently fell into the now-empty pool in Tompkins Square Park...
Thankfully, the Parks Department has roughly nine months to remove this before the pool reopens for the 2022 season.
