Jellyfish invasion on 13th Street

A store called Jellyfish New York is opening on 13th Street between Second Avenue and Third Avenue...

...based on the sign, I'd say (duh!) that it's some kind of clothing shop for kids... another sign said that the store was opening in August

Um, here's a hot flash for all the a'holes who would buy clothes for their kids here - your kids are not supposed to be cool, okay? They're supposed to be kids. They can be cool when they're older. Leave them be to grow up dweebily without foisting your own insecurities about being dork on them. Sheesh.

Yeah seriously! Let's boycott this store so it goes out of business and our kids can be dweeby. Nothing is good enough for our east village! More empty storefronts!

Anonymous - Get over yourself, willya? I said nothing about boycotting the store or preferring an empty storefront. My point was, kids should be allowed to grow up without having to feel at every turn that they must be cool. Kids grow up fast enough and have enough stresses in their lives, can't they just have time to be - gasp! - kids? Why do their clothes have to be cool? Why can't they just be - clothes?

You make such a valid point. So interesting. Also interesting that you assume everyone who disagrees is a wooing, rich yuppie. Loving the sense of community here. If only I had the paycheck to go with it.
