In case you were planning on seeing either of these two movies at the Loews Village 7 on Third Avenue at 11th Street... bring a blanket or a flask or something...

It'll be just like watching a movie in the summer! It's funny that theaters are 60F in the summer and 75F in the winter.
Man, that place is always having problems. The last time I was there my husband and I received a refund and a free pass because the speakers blew out in our theater.
At least the manager was kind enough to let people know, giving them the option of not attending the film. I'm sure many other movie theaters wouldn't have shown that same consideration.
My 19-year-old friend went there and was told she had to be 25 to see a movie at the theater alone. Otherwise, she had to be with someone over 25. The woman behind her took pity on her and said she was with her. Is it even legal to make a rule like this? I kept asking my roommate if she heard the employee right, and she said yes.
I saw Mulholland Drive in some attic small screen theater on 42nd St. No air-conditioning - it must have been 100 degrees in there - people were visibly sweating...the tortuous conditions actually added to the tension of the film.
