Better deal if you ask me. What's the security deposit? $1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000? F Citibank
Apples to oranges. The Citibike thing is bike sharing for commuting, it's not exactly renting. The program hinges on short-trips, otherwise there won't be bikes available when you need em. Citibike even tells you to rent from a shop if you need a bike for an extended time. I'm not into the program myself but I'm willing to concede that it does at least make sense.

i bought my bike there. they seemed super-nice and conscientious, for what it's worth.
You're right. $30 for 24 hours vs. $90 for 8,760 hours is a much better deal.

Wayyy too expensive!
This pricing structure makes more sense. Perfect for a day trip.
