That's the short and long of it (That's the short and long of it)
Doo, doo, doo Doo, doo, doo
Looking over photos of Laurie and Lou from the last year or so . . . she looks so happy to be with him. A brief romance but apparently a beautiful one. She's not the only one who will miss the cranky but so often on target, Lou. RIP.
"A brief romance"? They've been together for at least 15 years, hardly what I would call brief. I used to see them around a lot when they lived on 11th between 1st and A.
In high school I was living out of NYC, and hearing "Walk on the Wild Side" on the radio was the impetus to get back to the city as soon as I got out of college. Thanks, Lou - you made me miss this place so much I pulled up stakes and came back. Never regretted it. Wish I'd come back sooner. RIP.

I just received the news... via a facebook post from someone in Istanbul, Turkey. That's part of the legacy.

Well, brief as in . . . not long enough, regardless of the length.
