"The city and state are rolling out a new task force to take on landlords who are trying to harass tenants into giving up their apartments. The task force will be empowered to sue landlords or even pursue criminal charges against them." (DNAinfo)
I'm so skeptical of anything the State does these days - wouldn't surprise me to see this turns into an enforcement arm that works to enforce stablization laws for the real estate lobby - these are the same people who say we need to be surveilled for our safety 24/7 - don't trust them for a second. the same people who are pushing medical totalitarianism - no flu vaccine, you can't ride the subway. its coming. nmaking no payoffs to health insurance industry? you have to pay a fine to the State. its already here

Wow. I would call that progress...
Sounds good to me- better late than never. What a difference from Bloomberg.
About Fucking Time!!
Can I nominate mma fighter Quinton "Rampage" Jackson? A task force like this needs some muscle if you get my drift.

This is good news. The state agency previously tasked with handling rent regulated harassment cases did shit. We'll see how it goes.
Word, some of these landlords have hired goons.
So true, double edged sword, always...
