Breaking: 2 Bros. Pizza unveils new sign, branding on St. Mark's Place

In today's top news story, workers replaced the 2 Bros. Pizza sign at 32 St. Mark's Place between Second Avenue and Third Avenue.

EVG 2 Bros. Correspondent Steven got (maybe) the first look at the new brandage for the dollarsliceria ...

Insta reaction: The shape of the logo looks a little coffin-ish. Anyone else?

One more look...

This Steven has a great deal of correspondent titles; I hope he's compensated well by the EV Grieve higher-ups!

I thought I was going to die after eating one of their slices a year ago. Sign design appropriate.

There is a lot going on here. And it does look like a coffin!

The new sign design won't entice me to eat there.

Why is Ray's Pizza still open? Their pizza has sucked for at least a decade.

This new logo is more appropriate than the false advertising of the two cartoon Italians in the old one. It's like the chain is trying to mimic the sleek minimal labeling style that supposedly appeals to this new generation of consumers.

2 bros and all these dollar pizzas are so bland it doesn't even taste like shit but it comes close. They don't put enough sauce and they serve undercooked pies to move the lines faster.

This isn't the fault of the owners but I don't stop there for a slice when the crusties are back in town and parked out front on the sidewalk when they are now. Can businesses do anything about that, or can anyone park themselves on the sidewalk in front of your shop and ask people for money/pizza? It's cheap pizza but I can't buy a crustie a slice ever time I go in!

I wish dollar pizza would climb into the coffin. It has ruined Vinny Vincenz. There are no good regular slices anymore.

Anonymous at 11:08: 11B does a great slice. It's more than $1 but it is worth it. Classic New York pizza.
