It's another Neighborhood Open Day today (Saturday, June 15!) at the New York City Marble Cemetery on Second Street between First Avenue and Second Avenue.
From noon to 6 p.m. you'll have the opportunity to take in the usually gated space and learn more about its history.
Here are the remaining open days for the summer:
• Sunday, July 14
• Saturday August 17
Meanwhile, the New York Marble Cemetery at 41 1/2 Second Ave. between Second Street and Third Street will have open days on:
• Sunday, June 30
• Sunday, July 28
• Sunday, Aug. 25
The cemetery is open those days from noon to 4 p.m.

From "Angels in America," directed by Mike Nichols, may he rest in peace: Prior Walter (played by Justin Kirk) and his friend Belize (Jeff Wright) walk past the graffiti-covered outside wall of LaSalle Academy, and sit on a bench in the Marble Cemetery. Prior talks about meeting an angel, but Belize does not believe him, and says, "There are no angels in America."
