Mucho YUCH!
OMG...UGH (but clever headline, Grieve!!;)
Disgusting private takeover of public space, yet again... There's not an inch of this city that's not ripe for the taking, including our sidewalks and parks.
ew
So UGLY
Pretty stupid, but perhaps some of y’all could temporarily eliminate your grumpy ol’ scowl lines
Wishing today were April 1
I hate it.
all the public common is under attack - who would think they are stealing the gutters. other public common gone or going:
access to waterways
public parks, under corporatism they are shared with insitutions e.g., WSP and NYU
sidewalks and gutters
thank you corporate overlords
Man, we've hit rock bottom with this!
It looks like framing for something at a County Fair.
It's actually a time portal -- it takes you to the universe where you are the worst version of yourself, eternally awaiting redemption, straight out of Everything Everywhere All At Once.
When is "art" nothing but an advertisement? When it is this thing. Public space being monetized to push corporate vanity drugs. Adams = De Blasio = Bloomberg.
An immersive event for Botox? What a lousy thing that is.
My question is:
1. who sets up these corporate events?
2. who gets paid for these events?
3. where does the money go?
Does any of this money go back into the community? If so where?
Inquiring minds....
I love my Botox but this is just bad. This is not art, it's a glorified trade show booth.
Homely
i found my people :) just walked by this thing and immediately looked up what it was.. looks like a building from Futurama or something
Nope... absolutely cursed. At least it didn't last for 8 weeks though.
