We first heard the rumor back in March of a northern outpost for Juice Press ... Anyway, the second location opened on Saturday.

A tipster noted that they won't have smoothies at this location until the end of the month.

And,only a few doors down from another established organic raw food/juice bar. Gross! St.Mark's bookstore versus NYU and now this...
Goodbye NYC!
They already have a place on 1st St. and 1st Ave that attracts celebrities, models and tourists. Please, we need to ward off these types. The hotels are closer to that location, also it's kind of piggy to place two of these in the neighborhood, especially on this block which already has raw food and juice. Why not open up on the west side or somewhere else.
There is another Juice Bar place opening at old Ciao for Now spot on 12th btwn A and B. The owner is friendly. I inquired about prices, she said they were more reasonable than celeb spot. It opens in 3 weeks, I guess juice is the new thing. They should sell doggie juice and get in on both hot trends at once.
News flash people, I live on this block and there is NOT another raw food/juice bar anywhere on it. There's a vegan restaurant and bakery, but that's it. I'd much rather have a healthy juice spot on my street than an empty storefront.
Excuse me Quintessence is on the the block. It is a raw food and juice restaurant. I'm sorry but it's rude of them to open right up the block.
Exsqueeze me (it is juicing we're talking about) but I live on this block too and Quintessence is not a juice bar. It's a raw foods restaurant first and foremost. They don't cater to the same type of fast service juicing that the new place does.
Yeah, but the new place caters to skinny fashion models and hipsters who don't even know what they are drinking they just think it's cool. These guys should head back south to 1st street where they can cater to all the fashionistas and euro trash that live in the Ludlow and stay at the Thompson. For real juice served by nice people at a good price go to Angelica's Kitchen - a real EV institution.
So sick of the losers who troll evgrieve and constantly wallow in the lost EV... NYC - PROGRESSION. You guys probably have loser jobs and loser lives.
i've been on Avenue B and 9th since 1984 and living a healthy natural foods lifestyle since then. Coffee shops and boutiques are duking it out on every block, so why not have a block dedicated to great food choices? Leave the Russian Baths and further boost your health in minutes. As far as Im concerned, its a boon to the area. And i don't have to hike down to 1st and 1st. Let 10th be a destination point for top healthy choices. I'm far from complaining. I say "finally".
