Last night at Life Cafe, perhaps

Michael Sean Edwards was at the Life Cafe Sunday night, when it closed "until further notice."

Here are a few scenes from the evening...

That guy in the black glasses, with the hat pictured with Kathy?

I think he's in the Bill Cunningham documentary.

That's him. Yellow suit.

Life Cafe was a cool place. One of the first to do tofu scramble. My brother and I would share the giant salad. Hung out drinking margaritas there in the 80's. Hope you rise again Life Cafe. Will miss you.

I always had the WORST service there even when it was slow. I even hosted an event there and the Kathy and Jon decided to stop holding it and did not inform me until tht night after all the preparation I did. Sleazy!

Nice that Mendez stopped in to say goodbye. I never see her show up at anything until it's too late. Seriously, does anyone have an example where Rosie has actually done something good to help the neighborhood???

I think you're right, Shawn Chittle. The guy would be Patrick McDonald.

Shawn and Ken,

Yes, that is Patrick McDonald. He's a long time neighborhood resident, EV booster and a walking work of art. Once upon a time, sightings of neighborhood fixtures like Quentin Crisp and Klaus Nomi were a a regular part of our days. Today, it gives me hope for the future and puts a smile on my face each time I spot Mr. McDonald on the street.
