I grew up in Brooklyn. A tree (or two) has been known to grow there. Yet, we never saw any of these tree mangling contraptions rolling down our streets. I've been living here for a while now but I still don't get why these things are necessary ?
Dear Brooklyn Person. The contraption is a bucket truck containing a person who is pruning the trees. This is necessary for safety so dead and weak limbs can be cut off before they crash down on people and property. They can also do some structural pruning to help the tree grow better and live longer. Before bucket trucks, people had to climb trees with ropes. Much safer now.
