Here's the bar behind Jane's Sweet Buns
Just following up on yesterday's item via UrbanDaddy about a new, sorta secret bar opening in the rear of Jane's Sweet Buns... A reader sent along the above photo from last evening... workers were still setting up the 10-seat bar, which is called Proletariat ... they will serve "hard-to-find brews from the Death + Company guys."
No official word on when the bar opens...

Great just what we need, another venue for expensive legal drugs that subsidize the police state.
Hard to find cause they're hard to want...
I wonder if this will end up like PTD where every yuppie douche thinks they are so cool because they know about it when in reality it's no secret
Pretentious bollocks
I give this three yucks
And there's the slippery slope. So much for benefit of the doubt. Can't trust anybody.
At the community board meeting McWater was like baby you want it you got it... Dominic allows this. He's a Yuppie if I ever saw one. He loves all th gentrification.
This is like a wet dream for so many people.
The place is so tiny, I'm trying to figure out where this was hiding back there? Does it go to the other end of the block?
This is what I get for defending the place when it 1st opened. The new strategy to get easy approval is to operate as a coffee shop or bakery etc for a year, then ask for a liquor license for your bs "pairings", before transitioning to full on bar which was the plan all along. Plus, death and co is very overrated. Only thing good about it is the wood facade, interior could be any meat packing lounge, and the drinks ain't special. I'd rather travel all the way to lic for dutch kills than go down the block to death and co
Is that a new gay bar in the EV?
Suggest people put a sign out front (and keep putting them up when they're removed):
TOURIST INFORMATION:
THE SECRET BAR IS THROUGH THE DOOR IN BACK, TO THE RIGHT OF THE COUNTER.
