Overkill. There's a Starbucks on 17th Street and First, 9th Street and 2nd, and 15th Street and 3rd. They're officially the new Subway.

Anon 6:31pm - A few years ago, there were Starbucks on 9th and 2nd, St Marks and 3rd, and another in Astor Place. I'm pretty sure Subway is the new Starbucks.

Give a huge THUMBS DOWN every time you walk by and say, "BOOOOOOO!!!! No Chains in the village!"

Patrons will "enjoy" their a little less.

That is their business model- put one every few blocks so you're never more than a 5 minute walk away from them- it's like a security blanket for tourists so they don't have to go into those scary bodegas
