"Four years after we forced that old Italian shoe repair guy out after we cut a secret deal with the landlord to pay a much higher rent that Fontana could not afford, we have to shut our doors because we can't afford this high rent either. Maybe we'll be lucky and be able to take over a space occupied by another long time business, but if rents keep getting pushed up by people like us, I guess we won't."
