Good question! I'm never around these times either. And don't know if there's usually a line now...

Katz's is like Disneyland. All the tour buses stop there for an authentic taste of real Nu Yawk food. Autentic.
I'm pretty sure those people on line at Katzs just received their CitiBike refund for all the malfunctioning bike racks, so now they can afford to spend a few extra bucks on Pastarmi sandwiches and knishes.
Not always like that, but the tour busses cause a line maybe once a week at lunchtime.
Kind of hit or miss with the busy.
Did a cruise ship just dock nearby?
