This is sheer obscenity, and I plan to write to the e-mail address on the flyer to tell Nile so.
This IS a joke? Right? This sounds like a bad TV show on Bravo. Or worse. The Style channel.
Crap. I wish I had seen this before 3:55pm. I would have gone. They might have had free food!
"The wait is finally over"? Wait for what? Oh right, for the poors to get out and make space for the type of douchebag able to afford $1,900/month for a room in a shared apartment.
SMDH buy a dollar hot dog at 7-11.
well, that explains that. was sitting in the bean a bit past noon and noticed a handful of fabulous hampton type gals and gents tooling around on their blackberries. were obviously out of place, even in the "new" e.v.
then again, what if they're not the ones out of place.
I walked by this afternoon, completely oblivious, and stumbled upon guys setting up the red carpet and the backdrop with the Dallien Realty logos, on the sidewalk. I was completely dumbstruck. I caught a glimpse of an old time resident of that building whom I have seen for years, but whom I do not know, exiting the building and doing a double take. He caught my eye, and we both smirked. So I went to lunch, and when I returned an hour later or so, I noticed the backdrop with the logos had collapsed in the wind, and was completely ruined, half hanging over the trash cans on the sidewalk half torn, and half held up by one remaining pole. The red carpet had been removed. And the door employees with the clipboards were sitting on the steps of the stoop, bored, with nothing to do, and no red carpet attendees to greet...

As a former heartbroken ousted resident of 50 E. 3rd....
Thank you.
So much......
A little research at the NYC DOB website reveals there is a PARTIAL STOP WORK ORDER at bldg #58 E 3pertaining to the hallway & roof work in BIG RED LETTERS. I wonder if this was mentioned at the RED CARPET EVENT?
