it wouldn't matter if she did gain weight but the woman has been fighting a pretty intense sickness. i saw the bowery ballroom concert and it was amazing and inspiring. the woman is incredibly intelligent and talented and has done more for people than I'm sure you could do in a lifetime.
The Julie Ruin record is a great balance between the harshness of Bikini Kill and the sweetness of Le Tigre. I'm disappointed that I discovered her music so late (a month ago) in her career. However, it's making my whole NY (specifically BK) experience suck less...
